Welcome to our home on the web.  I'm Kristie Barwick and live in beautiful Thunder Bay Ontario, Canada with my husband and two young children.  We share our home with our bulldogs.   I was born into dogs, and grew up around  dog shows. Carol Randle my  mother  registered her kennel prefix " Symarun" over 30 years ago,  and I would like to thank her for making my journey possible.  My love for animals is inherited from my mom's father who raised exotic game birds, sheep,  and silver foxes.  His passion for his animals was evident when he would walk out on Christmas supper because it was feeding time on the farm.  His love to improve his stalk, and watch their young grow was passed down from him to my mother and to my  sister and I.  My accountant father calls it the GRATZ curse,lol.  It has been a great honour to be mentored by my mother.  Her strong ethics,  and  success in her top winning Shih Tzu has been a true inspiration to me.  Improving on each generation,  and being ruthless in her selections has put her dogs in top standing across the world.  I knew I wanted to raise my own breed of dog.  It wasn't until I was 20 that I bought my first bulldog as a pet and companion for my champion boxer that I feel in love with the Kind, noble, brave, trainable, quiet bulldog.  They are like no other dog and are my PASSION.  I have now finished 8 Canadian Champions, 5 of which are bred by champions, and two of those who were #5 bulldogs in Canada in limited showing for 2006 and 2008.  I have been awarded a Best in Show, 45 group placements ,  3 best puppy in shows,  and 13 best puppy in group wins to date.  I have just started showing a few weekends in the states and have two dogs who are American pointed.  Our dogs also have their Canine Good Neighbor Titles,   their TT (temperament test titles) and some with their rally obedience titles.  We believe in producing and raising well rounded bulldogs,  sound in mind and body, that conform to the breed standard,  and place extreme priority on wonderful loving homes for our special puppies.  Watch for our dogs in the show ring for years to come.
